Heat Treatment is very often described as a 'Black Art'. In reality Heat Treatment is a very exact and precise science and if all the variables of the heat treatment process are firstly identified and then controlled to their upper limits then perfect heat treatment can be performed every time.

Con Mech's philosophy is that in the whole history and life span of a component of steel from being smelted at the blast furnace to being drawn, forged or cast and eventually being machined to size as a finished component probably the most important minutes of its life is its transfer and Quench cycle during the heat treatment process.

This in effect breathes life and reason for existence into the component which previously was an inanimate object and becomes almost a living thing with purpose.

On 29th October 2010, Con Mech Engineers took part in Breast Cancer campaign ‘Wear it Pink’ day.

Earlier this year ConMech Heat treatment celebrated the successful commissioning of the super water quench facility which is approximately double the capacity of a traditional quench tank.
