Rapid Air Blast Rapid Air Blast

Rapid Air Blast

This process is generally applied to the high Ni or Power Generation Steels.

Rapid Air Blast Cooling is a intermediate cooling rate between Air Cool and Polymer Quench and percentage wise closer to Air Cooling. It slightly has the edge on Air Cooling and frequently manages to meet required properties without going to quench & temper which can present distortion and cracking risks on higher grades of steel. Con Mech offers this Rapid Air Blast facility which significantly increases cooling rates but does so evenly and consistently to meet all property requirements.

The final product is dull grey in appearance with a flaky scale removable by Shot Blasting if required. Shotblast facilities are available at Con Mech.

Health & Safety
